  1. lower back pain, from poor sitting posture or bad chair
  2. knee pain, from the knee tendons tightening up from reduced physical activity, especially among young developers
  3. carpal tunnel syndrome, pain and stiffness in the wrists and tingling in the fingers, caused by poor positioning of the hands when typing all day
  4. arthritis in the finger and thumb joints, made noticeable by typing all day, among older developers
  5. painful dry eyes, from staring at the terminal all day without blinking enough
  6. weight gain, from a completely sedentary job
