  4. When leading a technical initiative, I believe in involving the relevant team members in discussions, gathering diverse perspectives, and aiming for consensus on technical decisions.

I believe the best solutions come from diverse perspectives, so I encourage open discussion, ensure all voices are heard during technical design or problem-solving sessions, and aim for consensus where possible. I want everyone to feel comfortable contributing ideas and challenging assumptions respectfully.
  6. I want everyone to feel heard. When everyone feels their voice is heard and their contributions are valued, they’re more engaged.
  7. I try to facilitate discussions where different perspectives are considered respectfully. That helps everyone understand the ‘why’ behind our approach.
  8. I make a point to publicly and privately acknowledge good work, insightful ideas, or helpful contributions from team members. A simple ‘great job on that feature’ or ’that was a smart way to solve Y’ can go a long way.
